Both Ho’okahua and Laulima Development have extensive affordable housing and mixed-income housing experience in the Hawaii region. Working with city and county government and community partners to build low-income and workforce housing, we develop, construct, manage and preserve affordable housing that strengthens communities. These projects include housing in both urban and suburban areas and run the spectrum from new construction to adaptive re-use and substantial rehabilitation. We have been extremely effective in obtaining low income housing tax-credit allocations for our non-profit, for-profit and housing authority clients under a very competitive application process.
