Ho’okahua Development and Laulima Development build with a focus on affordable workforce and senior housing, incorporating mixed income, mixed-use and market-rate development in their construction.
Both Ho’okahua and Laulima Development have extensive affordable housing and mixed-income housing experience in the Hawaii region. Working with city and county government and community partners to build low-income and workforce housing, we develop, construct, manage and preserve affordable housing that strengthens communities. These projects include housing in both urban and suburban areas and run the spectrum from new construction to adaptive re-use and substantial rehabilitation. We have been
extremely effective in obtaining low income housing tax-credit allocations for our non-profit, for-profit and housing authority clients under a very competitive application process.
Ho’okahua and Laulima Development are proud of their achievements in the housing industry and its commitment to making quality affordable housing available for families, seniors, homeless and persons with special needs.
The second phase of this development will include 143 units of family housing targeted to households earning 30%-60% of AMI. Hawaiian Community Development Board is working with Costal Rim Properties Inc. and Highridge Costa Development Company LLC to develop this portion of the Project.
With construction estimated to begin in Spring 2019, this rental housing development will create an affordable community environment for the Waianae Coast. The project is designed by AHL and developed by Hawaiian Community Development Board in partnership with Pacific Development Group and 3Leaf Holdings.
